Bring Your Own Film Festival

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bring Your Own Film Festival (BYOFF) is a film festival started off in year 2004 in the beaches of the temple town Puri, in Orissa state of India. The uniqueness lies in the fact that there is no formal screening or qualifying process. Mainly a forum for independent filmmakers, anyone can just walk-in, register and exhibit his work. The festival has proved hugely popular right in the first edition and has generated considerable interest in the Indian film-making community.

The 2005 edition happened between February 16 to February 20. However the timetable is not rigid; the organisers say the festival is open ended and will finish only when people want it to, subject to constraints of resources.
