Brightlight Pictures Inc. is a Canadian film production and television production company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The company was founded in 2001.

Brightlight Pictures Inc. develops, finances and produces independent feature films and television projects for the domestic and international marketplace. Company principals and producers, Stephen Hegyes and Shawn Williamson, have produced over 60 productions and over 20 productions since the launch of the company in 2001, including White Noise, starring Michael Keaton, which has grossed more than $100 million since opening in January 2005.

Brightlight recently produced its sequel, White Noise 2: The Light, starring Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff with Gold Circle Films; In the Name of the King, starring Jason Statham, Ray Liotta, Burt Reynolds and John Rhys-Davies; 88 Minutes, starring Al Pacino and Wicker Man, starring Nicolas Cage both for Nu Image/Millennium Films and Emmett Furla Films as well as the TV series Saved for TNT with Fox 21, Slither; Postal, based on the video game of the same name and American Venus, directed by Bruce Sweeney and starring Rebecca De Mornay; which recently screened at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival, along with the psychological thriller They Wait, starring Sin City’s Jaime King and directed by Ernie Barbarash.

Currently in post-production is the feature film Addicted, starring Sarah Michelle Gellar for the Yari Film Group; Passengers, starring Anne Hathaway for Mandate Pictures and the feature film Far Cry, based on the video game of the same name, starring Til Schweiger and Emmanuelle Vaugier.

Brightlight recently launched the hit TV Series The Guard, a Coast Guard Rescue TV Series with The Halifax Film Corp and Global Television starring Steve Bacic, Jeremy Guilbaut and Zoie Palmer. The Guard’s first season was met with critical success as one of the best rated, all Canadian television series’ and has recently been picked-up for a second season. Brightlight is also in production on 50 Dead Men Walking, a feature starring Ben Kingsley, Jim Sturgess and Kevin Zegers, the Ireland/Canadian Co-Production with Handmade Films and Future Films in Belfast. Brightlight is also in production on the Australian/Canadian Co-Production Stormworld in Perth, Australia.
