Brighten the Corners is the fourth studio album released by Pavement. The title is likely a reference to Ella Fitzgerald's Brighten the Corner. All songs were written by lead singer Stephen Malkmus, apart from "Date with Ikea" and "Passat Dream".

Spiral Stairs said, in a recent interview with Pitchfork Media[1], that they will be making a 2CD re-release of Brighten the Corners that will probably be released in 2007, on its 10th anniversary. However, it has now passed said date and is expected in 2008.
