Brienomyrus hopkinsi, also called Brienomyrus hopkinsi Taverne & Thys van den Audenaerde 1985,[1][2] is a species of freshwater electric fish. It was discovered in the Ivindo River in Gabon, in Western Africa by Dr. Carl D. Hopkins of Cornell University.[3][4][1] It lives in a tropical climate.[2]
