The Bridge Cafe is located at 279 Water Street in the South Street Seaport area of Manhattan. It opened in 1794 and claims to be "The Oldest Drinking Establishment in New York" in a building that used to house a brothel. [1] It has been under its current ownership since 1979.
New York Magazine considers it to be one of New York City's Top 5 Historic Bars. [2]
