Brickworld is a convention for (AFOL's)adult fans of Lego. The focus being to have fans bring their favorite creations, often referred to as MOCs (aka My Own Creations), to display and share with fellow enthusiasts.
Like other conventions it offers workshops, presentations, special events and challenges. The event celebrates the coming together of the fan community that has evolved as a result of the Internet and exploring and developing the Lego hobby.
Brickworld celebrates AFOLs' common love of the brick and all the different ways the brick is used as a medium to express art and science. Brickworld's overriding motto is:
Share - Learn - Discover - Explore
Brickworld occurs annually on the third weekend in June at the Westin North Shore Hotel & Convention Center in Wheeling, Illinois (a Northwest suburb of Chicago).
