Briarwood–Van Wyck Boulevard is a station on the IND Queens Boulevard Line of the New York City Subway, located in the Briarwood, Queens. The station itself is roughly centered at the intersection of 84th Drive and the Van Wyck Expressway, but the full time exit is via a long passageway to Main Street and Queens Boulevard.
Just to the south of this station, the IND Archer Avenue Line splits from the Queens Boulevard Line in a flying junction; thus, it can be served by trains coming from both lines. Currently, The F from the Queens Boulevard Line serves this station at all times while the E from the IND Archer Avenue Line bypasses this station on weekdays only.
Van Wyck Boulevard was the name of the wide thoroughfare that existed when the station opened in 1937. The Van Wyck Expressway was built over the boulevard in the early 1950s.
