Briargrove is a neighborhood in Houston, Texas, United States, near Uptown Houston.

Briargrove was established in the 1950s with one-story ranch homes built in the 1950s and 1960s.[1] Deed restrictions in the neighborhood were modified in 1986 to allow for one and one half-story and two-story homes.[citation needed] Afterwards some of the older ranch homes were torn down and replaced with newer two story homes.[1]

Briargrove's public schools are operated by Houston ISD. Briargrove is zoned to Briargrove Elementary School[3] and Grady Middle School.[4]

Briargrove residents are zoned to Lee High School[5] and may choose to attend Lamar High School or Westside High School.[6]

Residents of the Briargrove Elementary School attendance zone may apply for the Briarmeadow Charter School.[7]

The T.H. Rogers School, an alternative K-12 school for gifted and talented students, deaf students, and multiply impaired students, is nearby Briargrove.
