[edit] Overview
Brian Wicklow is a sadistic and highly intelligent serial killer, serving life in prison for the murders of eight women. His final murder was turned on its head when the woman's infant daughter interrupted him, and he ended up killing her too, reluctantly breaking from his well planned modus operandi.
We never learn much about his past or childhood throughout the series. However, we do find out that he was abused by his older sister, and it was this that inspired his misogynistic killing spree. The premise of Cold Blood II is based around his plan for revenge against her.
He also has a peculiar relationship with D.S Eve Granger (Jemma Redgrave), an ambitous policewoman and single mother, who interviewed him in the first Cold Blood. In succeeding episodes, he grew envious when he found out that she had slept with Jake Osbourne, and tried turning her against him.
[edit] Cold Blood

Meanwhile, his old cellmate Jake Osbourne reluctantly agrees to help work out Wicklow's psyche.
[edit] Cold Blood II
Brian Wicklow walks into a cell one day and seeminglig murders one of the prisoners, before savagely beating the other into a bloody pulp. Brian then manipulates the surviving man into kidnapping and torturing his sister, so he can pay her back for the abuse she inflicted on him as a child.
[edit] TV series
A new three part series was brought out in 2007, that abandoned the previous two part psychological thriller format, and tried turning it into a police procedural. Brian Wicklow only appeared briefly in episode 1 when he was stabbed in the prison showers, and subsequently found out he was dying of cancer.
