Brian Walsh (mayor)

Bryan Vincent Walsh was Lord Mayor of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia - 1975-1976. He was elected by the people on behalf of the Australian Labor Party.

Before being elected to the Brisbane City Council, Walsh was a schoolteacher. He joined the Ashgrove Branch of the Australian Labor Party in 1949.
[edit] Lord Mayor
Walsh served in the office of Lord Mayor of the City of Brisbane, 1975-1976. He succeeded long standing Lord Mayor, Clem Jones. At the Brisbane City Council elections in 1976, he was not returned as Alderman and therefore could not retain the position of Lord Mayor.[1]
