Brian Talty is a current selector for the Dublin Senior Football Team. Brian works with the current Dublin manager Paul Caffrey and fellow selectors David Billings and Paul Clarke. Talty is a native of Tuam, County Galway with whom he played Gaelic football. He won a National Football League medal with Galway in 1981.[1] Brian is a secondary school teacher in County Dublin.[2] There was speculation in Galway football circles that Brian would be nominated to fill the vacant Galway senior post in 2007 if Dublin lost out to Kerry in the All-Ireland SFC semi-final.[3] Although Dublin lost the game Talty pledged his future to Dublin football.[4] Brian played for Galway against Dublin in the 1983 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final although he was substituted in the second half of the game due to injury. Dublin went to win the final, with Dublin finishing with 12 players and Galway finishing with 14.
