Brian Smith (politician)

Brian Ray Douglas Smith is a Canadian politician and business executive. Smith was first elected in the 1979 election to represent the riding of Oak Bay-Gordon Head for the Social Credit Party.[1] He was reelected in the 1983[2] and 1986 election.[3]. For a time, he was Attorney General. On October 19, 1989, he confirmed widespread rumours that he was resigning. He did so on November 15 and then became chairman of CN Rail.[4]
