Brian H. Schoenjahn is the Iowa State Senator from the 12th District. He has served in the Iowa Senate since 2004.
Schoenjahn currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Commerce committee; the Judiciary committee; the Local Government committee; the Natural Resources and Environment committee; and the Education committee, where he is chair. He also serves as vice chair of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee.
Schoenjahn was elected in 2004 with 14,677 votes, defeating Republican opponent Ron Longmuir. [1]
