Brian Schmitz

Brian Schmitz (born June 12, 1978) is currently retired from professional American football after a 7 year career. He was a 1st team All-American at North Carolina where he wore #23, in reference to his boyhood idol, Michael Jordan. Schmitz was introduced to Jordan in Chapel Hill and the two have maintained a friendship. Schmitz was named to the Chicago Tribune All-Century Team. He is the all-time ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference) leader in all punting categories.
