Brian King, (born 8 January 1987 in Derry), is a footballer, currently playing with Eircom League side UCD. He is the son of former LOI player and manager Noel King, who is currently the Women's Development Officer for the FAI and manager of the Women's Senior International Republic of Ireland squad. Brian was associated as a schoolboy with the Stella Maris club. As well as playing for the team he also began his coaching career by taking over one of Stella Maris's women's teams leading their senior team to promotion in his first season in charge. Following his Leaving certificate he entered UCD as a student, but was acquired by Shelbourne. He spent last season on loan to Kilkenny City , featuring in most of their League games in the First Division during 2006. Brian, who is in his third year as a student in Belfield, finally joined the soccer club in January 2007.
