Brian Hoffman

Brian Hoffman (born January 16th, 1970) is an American death metal guitarist who is best known for being one of the two co-founders of Deicide, the Florida-based Satanic death metal band.

Brian and his brother, Eric Hoffman, were the co-lead guitarists for Deicide. Both of the Hoffman brothers earned a reputation for playing complex, elaborate solos over overlapping, intricate riffs. Their skills helped make Deicide one of the most distinctive bands in the death metal genre. Brian and Eric left the band in late 2004, after a bitter falling out with Glen Benton, Deicide's notorious and controversial bassist/lead singer. Benton and the Hoffman brothers were rumored to be quarreling over royalties and publishing.[1]

During his time with Deicide, Brian designed "The Beast" for B.C. Rich Guitars along with "The Beastmaster" for Moser Custom Shop.

In April 2005 Brian and his brother announced they were putting a "new DEICIDE together."[2]

Hoffman currently lives in Brandon, Florida.
