Brian Haner

Brian Haner Sr. is a singer/comedian and guitarist, and the father of Synyster Gates, the lead guitarist of Avenged Sevenfold. He is a writer, performer and studio guitarist from Los Angeles, California and is currently performing at comedy clubs across the country.

Brian Haner Sr. (born April 7, 1958), has done studio work for the past twenty years and played for some of the biggest names in the business, such as Frank Zappa, Tower Of Power, and Rose Royce. As a musician, he has contributed to the scores of Payback, Extreme Justice and The Granny. He has also composed music for television shows such as Eerie, Indiana and TV 101.
He recently recorded a CD of comedy songs and is currently performing his musical/standup act at comedy clubs across the country.[1]
He has also recently written a book entitled 'Carney Man: The Novel'.
He has gotten a major boost over the internet, especially on Youtube, where he appeared at The Improv with Jeff Dunham and Achmed the Dead Terrorist. During the taping, Achmed keeps referring to Haner as Guitar Guy.
He is currently touring with Jeff Dunham as his opening and supporting act.
