Brian Green

Brian Russell Green (born 25 July 1956) is a Queen's Counsel and a leading member of the Law Society of England and Wales.

The son of Bertram Green and Dora Green (née Rinsler), he was educated at Ilford County High School and St Edmund Hall, Oxford (BA, BCL, double first).

He was called to the Bar in the Middle Temple, 1980; he became a member of Lincoln's Inn, 1991. He has been a Bar representative on the Revenue Law Committee of the Law Society, Capital Taxes sub-committee, since 1994. He is a member of Wilberforce Chambers, Lincoln's Inn and has been a QC since 1997. He specialises in private client and pensions, but has wide experience of general Chancery work.

He held a tenured lectureship in Law at the London School of Economics, teaching Restitution on the LLM course and Trusts and Land law on the LLB course.

He married Yvonne Mammon in 1994; he has one son, one daughter and two stepdaughters.

His recreations include travel, hill-walking, opera, the arts.
