Brian Coogan is a keyboardist from New Orleans, Louisiana. As of 2006 he is in demand in New Orleans playing live "funk, straight-ahead and experimental jazz." Like many New Orleans musicians, he became displaced after hurricane Katrina, but is working to keep the New Orleans music scene alive.[1] In 2007 he toured nationally as a member of both Maelstrom Trio (with Skerik and Simon Lott) and Bobby Previte's Coalition of the Willing. As of Fall 2007 in New Orleans he performs live with many different musicians often with Simon Lott, or with Johnny Vidacovich.
