Brian Bolter

Brian Bolter is a television news anchor and reporter. Bolter hopscotched across the country working in several TV markets as he gained experience. He's worked at KHBS-TV in Fort Smith, Arkansas, KARK-TV in Little Rock, Arkansas, KHQA-TV in Quincy, Illinois, and at WBAL-TV in Baltimore, Maryland. Currently, Brian Bolter is the principle anchor at WTTG-TV in Washington, DC.

Brian Bolter co-anchors the flagship 10pm newscast for WTTG-TV with Shawn Yancy. Bolter was the original anchor along with Tracey Neale when WTTG launched Fox 5 News at 5. He launched the Fox 5 Newsedge at 11 as a solo anchor in July 2006. In September 2007, Brian Bolter launched the Fox 5 Newsedge at 6 as a solo anchor. Currently, Brian Bolter anchors two hours of news on WTTG: the Newsedge at 6 & 11pm, and co-anchor of Fox 5 News at 10.

According to NATAS-DC records, Bolter has won two local Emmy Awards.[citation needed] One for the Mid-Atlantic's Best Live Reporter. He also has three regional Edward R. Murrow awards including Best Newscast in 2007 & 2008. Many viewers in the Washington television market remember Bolter as the TV personality who had lasik surgery done live during a newscast on Fox 5 News at 10. A Google search shows that in 2006, Washingtonian Magazine named Bolter one of Washington's Best Dressed.[citation needed]((October 1, 2006 issue Washingtonian Magazine)) Bolter's voice also appeared in a mock breaking news scene in the movie "The Sentinel" starring Kiefer Sutherland.[citation needed]
