Brian Benoit is a guitarist for The Dillinger Escape Plan. Before playing in Dillinger, Brian played in Moo Cow recording artists Canephora, Jesuit with eventual Converge bassist Nate Newton. He was also an early live-only member in Virginia youth crew revival band Time Flies. Brian joined Dillinger just prior to recording Calculating Infinity and has played on Irony Is a Dead Scene and Miss Machine.

In late 2004 just after the release of Miss Machine Brian developed nerve damage in his left hand, which has kept him from performing live with the band since. He returned to the stage with them in 2005 as Keyboardist/Electronics but only for a few months. He has been replaced on tour by James Love, and recently Jeff Tuttle. Ben Weinman has been the only guitar player on subsequent releases, however frontman Greg Puciato has said that he still has a place in the band should he be able to return.
