Brian Archer

Brian Roper Archer (born August 21, 1929) was an Australian Senator who represented the Liberal Party for the state of Tasmania. He served as a Senator for from July 1, 1975 to January 31, 1994.
Archer was appointed Shadow Special Minister of State and Spokesman on Science by John Howard, upon becoming leader of the opposition in September 1985. He held those positions until August 1987.
Archer was born in Calder, Tasmania and worked as a real estate consultant and farmer before entering parliament.
