Hello Brendan. Welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you stick around. Note that the two pages you created have been nominated for deletion (see here and here). Please do not take this as an indication that you are not welcome here. On the contrary, we hope you stay and contribute more content. You may want to check out the note on autobiographies. Here are a few other pages that you may find useful:
- How to edit a page
- Editing, policy, conduct, and structure tutorial
- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- The Five Pillars of Wikipedia
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages
- If you're ready for the complete list of Wikipedia documentation, there's also Wikipedia:Topical index.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! -- JamesTeterenko 02:41, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome
Hey Brendan,
Okay, you maybe didn't quite realize what Wikipedia's for and about, but don't worry about it -- by admitting your mistake, you've more than redeemed yourself there; most people never learn that much. Seriously, I hope you stick around. -- Captain Disdain 14:36, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Hi Brendan, I echo the good Captain's comments. If you feel some of the comments about you were a little harsh, I concur, sometimes we can be pretty harsh on VfD. Take a quick look at the following section of our VfD guide: Wikipedia:Guide to Votes for deletion#The most important things to remember. Hopefully we haven't turned you off contributing to Wikipedia. --Deathphoenix 15:17, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Hi Brendan - I put your article up for VfD, but certainly not with the intent of allowing people with no tact to have a crack at you. Thank you for voluntarily removing your article - the next step is to make it the start to your user page, a purpose it would serve admirably. Hope to see more of your contributions.
