Talk:Brett Gurewitz
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Why was Brett not in Bad Religions Australian tour? And was somewhat disappointing for him to not be there... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.178.218.168 (talk) 14:33, 11 November 2007 (UTC)
brett gurewitz was never in nofx
[edit] SNOT
Is the snot section necessary? Takes so much space on the page, for some minor critizism. Seems like a curiosity. 84.48.169.164 23:37, 5 April 2007 (UTC)Frode
[edit] Pietasters
Gurewitz also produced (and did some backing vocals on) the Pietasters' "Awesome mix tape #6," 1999.
[edit] DoB
Lead says '64, Cat says '62, LoPbN said '55 until i changed it to "born c. 1960".

Search here under Brett Gurewitz, and it says 1962-05-12.--Fallout boy 03:15, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
He was 17 when he started Bad Religion in 1980. Work it out from there.
His official Myspace page says he's now 42 years old, which means he could be born in 1964. Alex 15:08, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
I was born 5/12/62 so I guess I should update my Myspace page more often.--71.157.186.81 08:02, 16 December 2006 (UTC)BrettGurewitz
[edit] Drug Addiction
I find it interesting that this page doesn't mention Gurewitz's battles with drug addiction. They were a major cause of strife within Bad Religion for a number of years.
- It's not all that necessary, and it's certainly not required for a synopsis of one's life to smear them every time a chance exists. Plus, can you personally cite a credible source that verifies this claim? DrMorelos 17:40, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah it's called his own admissions, and the LA County DA's office. Look it up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.195.178.80 (talk) 22:50, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Children's Names?
If the names of his children are correct, then we can ask whether daughter Frida was named after the famous artist Kahlo. But if we do, then we must ask where Max came from; was it equally famous sociologist Weber? DrMorelos 17:44, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
Frida was named after her paternal grandmother, Freda Kay.--71.157.186.81 07:59, 16 December 2006 (UTC)BrettGurewitz
[edit] Snot
The producer for their [first album?] Get Some is listed as "Mr. Brett"; would I be crazy in thinking it's the same person? MonstaPro 05:50, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:BadReligionHowCouldHellBeAnyWorse.jpg
Image:BadReligionHowCouldHellBeAnyWorse.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:26, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use image removal
I have removed all or a majority of the fair use images on this page as their use was not in line with our Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria policy (likely in that the use is not minimal (3.a.) and it is in a list or a gallery (8.)) or our Wikipedia:Non-free content guideline that states that cover images may only be used for critical commentary on the cover itself, not just identification. Please do not re-add them without discussion. Kotepho 10:04, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
