Brevicoryne is a genus of aphid insect that contains many pest insects.

Distinguished from the nymph (or allate) by their darker body. May or may not exhibit wings.

Many species of wasps parasitize the juvenile (nymph); injecting their eggs using their ovipositor creating what are colloquially called 'mummies' because of their desiccated appearance.
