Brett Skinner (born on June 28, 1983, in Brandon, Manitoba) is a professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the NHL's Boston Bruins organization. Skinner was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks 68th overall in the 3rd round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
[edit] Pro career
Skinner has spent his pro career to date primarily as an AHL defenceman. He currently plays for the Providence Bruins, but also spent time with the Portland Pirates, the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights and the 2005–06 season playing with the Manitoba Moose in the AHL. Skinner completed the season with the Moose despite being traded to the Anaheim Ducks during the season.
He also has played in the ECHL for the Augusta Lynx.

Brett was a member of the Trail Smoke Eaters in the BCHL in 2000–2001, the Des Moines Buccaneers in the USHL in 2001–2002, and then the University of Denver from 2002–2005. As a Pioneer, he was a member of two NCAA national championship winning teams, was named an All-American, and was named team captain before signing a professional contract prior to the start of his senior year.
