Brett McLean (born August 14, 1978 in Comox, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey center for the Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.

Brett McLean was selected 242nd overall in the 1997 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars.
After being signed as a free agent three times (Calgary Flames in 1999, Minnesota Wild in 2000 and Chicago Blackhawks in 2002) he signed with the Colorado Avalanche on July 21, 2004. In 2004–05, he joined the Malmö Redhawks of the Swedish Elitserien during the NHL lockout.
On July 1, 2007, McLean signed a 3 year contract with the Florida Panthers.
Across his NHL career he has scored 35 goals and 106 points in 238 games played (as of July 1, 2007).
