[edit] Confusion with Dave Raymond
According to a story in the Houston Chronicle, many radio listeners have a difficult time determining who is speaking when Brett Dolan and Dave Raymond call a game. Each has a voice and style very similar to the other and critics claim it makes Astros games sound as if they have only one broadcaster, ala Vin Scully with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Dolan worked as a sportscaster/news director at WTOQ/WKPL in Platteville, Wisconsin, in late 1992-early 1993, doing play-by-play of local high school sports as well as covering various government meetings.
