Brett Elizabeth Anderson[citation needed] (born May 30, 1979 in Bloomington, Indiana [2]) is the lead vocalist of rock band The Donnas. She is the only member of The Donnas who is not a native Californian.

Anderson was born on May 30, 1979, in Bloomington, Indiana. She moved to Palo Alto, California in the 7th grade. She was approached by bandmates Allison Robertson and Maya Ford in the 8th grade to sing for their band. Although she had no experience in singing at the time, she accepted and played their first show with The Donnas (then called Screen) and are still together today.
