Brent Robert Gates (born March 14, 1970, Grand Rapids, Michigan) was a Major League Baseball second and third baseman. He is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota.
Drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 1st round of the 1991 MLB amateur draft, Gates would make his Major League Baseball debut with the Oakland Athletics on May 5, 1993, and appeared in his final game on October 3, 1999.
