[edit] Character history
[edit] Season One
Brent Barrow is the editorial of Dirt and Now although he responds to orders from Gibson, his superior and owner of the magazines. He is often pressuring Lucy Spiller to have the magazine make profits but was against many of her ideas, including merging the two into DirtNow to cut editorial costs and having the SEXXX Issue spelled with XXX. It is difficult to see where his loyalty lies as he can help Lucy on some occasions (and even tried to save her life during the hostage situation at the risk of his own) and put her down on others (such as having talks with her rival Tina Harrod).
Being a total jerk he is constantly competing with Lucy to make decisions at DirtNow but she always gets the final word. During the Aundre G affair he was pressured by the singer's agent Tweety McDaniel to reveal a source and although he at first resisted, he broke press secrecy by revealing it was Prince Tyreese when threatened to have his penis cut off, which would result in the latter being severely beaten. He seems to have a crush on journalist Willa McPherson and manage to get into a casual relationshîp with her and videotaped their encounter (which he seems to do with all his conquests).
This relationship took a turn for the worse when they were blackmailed by a star's father and manager after having a three way with her allegedly virginal and underage daughter. Although they managed to undo it by discovering it was what the father had done to get his first daughter to stardom this prompted Willa to rethink their relationship and dump Barrow. He made several efforts to get her back (including changing his looks for a short time) but has apparently set his sights on Lucy after he saw her kiss Tina Harrod (as he wrote her name on a tape)
[edit] Season Two
At the end of season two Brent Barrow died from falling asleep in his car while in the garage with the engine running.
