The Breda Ba.39 was an Italian touring and liaison aircraft. A scaled up version of the Ba.33, it achieved some success in sporting events, and distance flights.

The Italian air ministry ordered 60 Ba.39s.

- In 1934 a small number of variants, called Ba.42 were built. The engine was improved to a 134 kW (180 p) Fiat A.70S radial, with a NACA cowling.
