"Breath" is the second single and the third track off of post-grunge band Breaking Benjamin's third album, Phobia. It is the band's highest charted song ever. It hit #1 on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, making it Breaking Benjamin's first number-one hit. The song stayed at number one for seven weeks. It is also #3 on the US Modern Rock Tracks chart, and has reached #84 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart.
A contest was held in which fans create a music video for "Breath," called the Breath Fan Video Contest, and the band and label selected 4 videos as finalists. The winning video was officially released March 30, 2007 on YouTube. The video can also be seen at the band's official site.

The original version is the "Breath" off Phobia, which is 3:38 long. "Breath" also has a radio edit, which can be heard over public radio. The edit was mixed by Ian Van Dahl. "Breath" was #6 on the Top 40 Mix Edit charts of May 2007, it is 3:09 long. There is also another version of Breath, but in a classical version. It is a cover song by The String Quartet and is on the album Strung Out - The String Quartet Tribute to Hard Rock Hits, Vol.4, which can be found on iTunes.

In April 2007, Breaking Benjamin released its first live DVD, which was titled "Phobia Collector's Edition", which includes a live version of "Breath". The DVD is a recording of the band's February 11, 2007 concert at Stabler Arena in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
