[edit] Description

Brean is the largest amusement park in South West England. Open from March to October every year, the leisure park has also been a concert venue for artists such as DJ Casper,[1] Peter Andre [2], Jason Donovan and The Wurzels. Brainiac: Science Abuse have also filmed "Funfair Physics" at the park. An episode of BBC TV series Casualty was also filmed there in 2007.

[edit] Attractions

The park has several rides, some of which are described at the Roller Coaster DataBase (RCDB):

  • Magic Mouse This ride is a typical spinning wild mouse ride. It follows the normal spinning style track layout and is one of the park's bigger rides. Was previously known as "crazy mouse" until the start of the 2007 season. Ride Info on RCDB. Photo
  • Shockwave A ride constructed by Italian manufacturer Pinfari, that is typical for Pinfari, rough, fast and unusually, has a loop. Ride Info on RCDB. Photo
  • Xtreme The largest and tallest ride at the park.Photo
  • XFactory This ride is very similar to the traditional Miama Trip ride found within most mobile fun fairs, with the extra added bonus of water jets that shoot water up at the riders when they are in mid-air. Another difference that makes this ride interesting is that the seats tilt downwards so riders get a better view of the water and ground below.
  • Wipe Out This ride is the same as Vortex which is located in Thorpe Park. The ride swings riders left and right on the end of a large arm which holds riders in a rotating gondola. Voted scariest ride at the park by Brainiac. Photo
  • Hell Raiser a traditional matterhorn ride. Photo
  • Wild Water Photo
  • Caterpillar Another Pinfari ride, which features a standard layout for this model of ride. Ride Info on RCDB. Photo
  • Terror Castle A ghost train. Photo
  • Sizzler A twister ride. Photo
