The Breaking Benjamin EP is Breaking Benjamin's first and only release before being signed to the Hollywood Records Label. The EP was released in and around the bands home town of Wilkes-Barre, PA, where all 2,000 copies sold out in the weeks following its release.
[edit] Release
Recorded at Saturation Acres in Danville, PA, The Breaking Benjamin EP is rock group Breaking Benjamin's first, and only independent release before being signed to a [[Hollywoodand release of 2,000 copies of Breaking Benjamin's self titled EP, as well as putting the band's first single, Polyamorous into heavy rotation at local rock station 93.7 X. All copies of such EP promptly sold out, and the band was soon signed to Hollywood Records.
Today, copies of the CD are still in heavy demand. No other pressing of the CD has been made since its first pressing of 2,000 units in 2001. Copies of the CD can be mostly found on Ebay, likewise, a few scattered copies of such CD can be found in pawn shops and used CD stores around North Eastern Pennsylvania.
[edit] Notes
The EP contains versions of songs which were re-recorded for "Breaking Benjamin's" first major label release "Saturate (album)". Some tracks contain only minor alterations to their "Saturate" counterparts, such as the chorus in "Medicate". Likewise, the vocal track for "Shallow Bay", featured on the EP, is in fact the same vocal track as heard on its "Saturate" counterpart.
