Breaker is a character from the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero toyline, comic books and cartoon series of the 1980s.

He is the G.I. Joe Team's original communications officer and debuted in 1982. His real name is Alvin R. Kibbey, and his rank is that of corporal E-4. Breaker was born in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Breaker had a habit of chewing bubblegum in any situation.

Breaker is familiar with all NATO and Warsaw Pact communication gear as well as most world export devices. His file card describes him as "efficient and self-assured and has an uncanny ability to turn adverse situations to his favor."

Breaker's primary military specialty is Infantry. His specialized education includes Signal School, where he studied covert electronics and was involved with "Project Gamma." He is a qualified expert in the M-16, M-1911A1, and MAC-10 (Ingram). He also speaks seven languages.

In the Marvel comics G.I. Joe series, he first appeared in issue #1, along with the rest of the original team. He makes a supporting appearance in issue #19. Hawk assigns him to travel Clutch to spy on Cobra, who is sending forces to attack Joe headquarters. They are spotted and fired upon, escaping Cobra missiles with only a few dozen feet to spare. After the successful defeat of Cobra forces, the two pick up the stranded Snake-Eyes and become the first to learn of the tragic death of the valued Joe ally Kwinn.

His last appearance is in issue #109. After escaping a massacre of many of his fellow Joes, he and his fellow survivors flee in a Cobra Rage tank. This vehicle is attacked by Cobra forces, killing Breaker, Crazy-Legs and Quick-Kick.
