Breakaway is an unincorporated master-planned community located in the mountains of North Carolina, north of Asheville. Breakaway is a traditional neighborhood development and follows the principles of New Urbanism. Breakaway is located in Madison County.
Breakaway is influenced by Seaside and Rosemary recreating the feel of a community. Founded in 2005, Breakaway encompasses about 93 acres and when completed will have approximately 270 homesites and a mixed use town center with shops, restaurants, and activities.
