Break No Bones is a book by Kathy Reichs, published in 2006 and featuring forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan. The plot centers around her students working on a site of prehistoric graves on Dewees, a barrier island, when a decomposing body is uncovered in a shallow grave off a lonely beach. Brennan (nicknamed Tempe) is then called upon to discover what is happening to bodies showing up all around the Charlestone area. The story also features a romantic subplot, where Brennan must choose between two men, Ryan and Pete, deciding where her heart lies.
