[edit] User page award
Congratulations, Bratsche! Your user page has been nominated for the Esperanza User Page Award! Five judges will look over your user page and award it 1-10 points in four categories:
- Attractiveness: general layout, considering colour scheme and/or use of tables if applicable
- Usefulness: links to subpages or editing aids, helpful information
- Interesting-ness: quirky, unique, captivating, or funny content
- General niceness: at the judges' discretion
But first, you must be chosen as a finalist. If your user page is chosen as one of the five finalists, you'll have the chance to win an award created just for having a great user page!

Thanks for uploading Image:Peru_airline_crash_2005.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

[edit] Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!
|
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways, from comparing articles that need work to other articles you've edited, to choosing articles randomly (ensuring that all articles with cleanup tags get a chance to be cleaned up). It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot 13:37, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] List of quarterlies
I would like to renominate this bugger for a clearer consensus. Last time, in June, it rec'd only 3 votes, 1 D, 1 K, and 1 M. You closed the debate, and I believe you (or another admin) would have to reopen it. Would you do it, or else, how do I nominate it again? Thx. the.crazy.russian (T) (C) (E) 22:55, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] A short Esperanzial update
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dear Bratsche
My dear Bratsche, what an incredibly pleasant surprise to see you again! It's not often I am visited by a living wiki-legend ;) While I am sure you're more than qualified to take part in any wiki process (just pointsomeone who wouldn't think you are to me ! :, I completely understand, and it's totally unimportant; your beautiful and kind words, and the lovely bday wishes you've gifted me are all that matter.
I've read your words regarding Christian spirituality with utmost interest, and I understand they sense perfectly. I wouldn't suggest to take the words at that section literally, tho, dear, as they are intended to be more of a general thought, rather than actual criticism. In fact, there are aspects of Native American spirituality that are much alike to those you express; speculations exist of course regarding the influence of Christian ideas in Native American religion. We'll have to talk more about it in the future; it'd be beautiful to share these ideas with you :)
Once again, thank you from my heart for your extremely kind words, and for taking the time to visit me, dear Bratsche. I hope that soon, you return to contribute on the same regular basis you used to. Valuable and bright people like you are hard to find indeed. Warmest regards, Phaedriel ♥ The Wiki Soundtrack!♪ - 13:59, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Tim delaughter 203x152.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Tim delaughter 203x152.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 18:58, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] David Ritch
Hi there; I saw that you cleaned up David Ritch last year; it was a candidate for deletion because, but you seemed to save it! I have taken another swipe at the article, and I wonder if you could swing by in the next few days to take a look at it. David Ritch's son, User: Travisritch is about, and I worry about him going nutty and reverting any removals that I made => Edit war, etc. So your input in the next few days would be helpful. Thanks! Shagmaestro 13:17, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] A request for assistance
Would you support the concept of moving the Earhart "myths" to a separate page or article? The reason for my suggesting this is that the main article should be an accurate and scholarly work while the speculation and conspiracy theories surrounding the disappearance of Amelia Earhart are interesting, they belong in a unique section. Most researchers, as you know, discount the many theories and speculation that has arisen in the years following her last flight. Go onto the Earhart discussion page and register your vote/comments...and a Happy New Year to you as well. Bzuk 03:02 3 January 2007 (UTC).

I've come across a lot of vandalism, and have always wanted to do something about it, but I've always had to contact an admin about it. I figured it would be easier if I was an admin, or something. What would I have to do to become an Admin? Thanks, Teh roflmaoer 22:38, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:A Hard Day's Night modal frame.PNG
Hello Bratsche, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:A Hard Day's Night modal frame.PNG) was found at the following location: User:Bratsche/Archive01. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 09:43, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Replaceable fair use Image:Robert_Morlino.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Robert_Morlino.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use media which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Quadell (talk) (random) 13:36, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
