Hello, Alex lbh, Welcome to Wikipedia!
I hope you like working here and want to continue. Check out the Simplified Ruleset. If you need help on how to name new articles, look at the Guide to layout, and for help on formatting the pages visit the Manual of Style. If you need general help, look at Help and the FAQ, and if you can't find your answer there, check the Village pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions). There's still more help at the Tutorial and the Policy Library. [edit] Hmmm

I think you are reading far too much into the phrase. The Foundation clearly does govern and manage the projects. I am not sure what you might find alarming or new or surprising about that, and so this is why I think you are reading too much into the phrase.--Jimbo Wales 09:11, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Allegations of Chinese apartheid AfD

Following your recent participation in Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Allegations of French apartheid, you may be interested to know that a related article, Allegations of Chinese apartheid, is currently being discussed on AfD. Comments can be left at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Allegations of Chinese apartheid. -- ChrisO 16:04, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Your request for Checkuser

Hi, I regret to inform you that a checkuser declined your request, most probably due to privacy reason. If you feel threatened, you better go to the police and ask them to contact the foundation. You may contact a volunteer by email at info-en@wikimedia.org. Thanks. If you need further help, you can contact me on my talk page or email me in French or in English. -- lucasbfr talk 00:25, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

I'm sorry if you felt I was too abrupt. I assure you it was not my intention at all. I can be abrupt in my summaries of decline reasons. I did not wish to demean the abuse you're suffering at all. I've suffered similar threats in the past, and I understand that they're scary and very worrying. If you contact the police and they request the information, do point them in our direction (perhaps to Mike Godwin), and we'd be happy to help you. --Deskana (talk) 18:05, 19 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Trumann hiroshima.ogg nominated for featured sound, but need your help

Hello, the audio file you uploaded to commons at 15:25, 30 July 2005, Image:Trumann hiroshima.ogg, has been nominated to be a featured sound, here. In order to be promoted according to the criteria more information is needed from you. This information is:

  1. The date and venue of the recording, where they are recoverable;
  2. The name(s) of the recordist/producer, and for historical recordings, a brief description of the recording equipment, where known;
  3. Any editing that has been applied to the excerpt by the uploader, such as noise reduction by the uploader (aside from obvious fade ups and fade downs at the start and end), and by others, where that information is recoverable;

[edit] Page protected

I've blocked the three users you've reported to AIV; since more will probably come, I've also semi-protected this page for 48 hours. I'll be heading offline, soon, but feel free to continue reporting problems if you have any. – Luna Santin (talk) 20:53, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Your provocative behavior on Rotary International

it seems that you start here an edit war you issued on fr.wikipedia about Rotary International. More, you start the same behavior, arguing that "I seemm unable ("incapable") to understand", of a provocative activist.

You had several arbitrations with French users, on fr.wikipedia, and you begin here also.

It seems that you had an arbitration specially on Rotary International subject AND NOT FOR LISTS.

It seems that you only problem is "a list on the Rotary International".

Maybe can you show us an example of lists that you wiped off on other articles than Rotary?

Stop your edit war, and stop wiping-off the collective work of Wikipedians. We are not here to allow the cultural wars waged in France. 84.100.98.200 (talk) 03:11, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] re User:84.102.229.42 report to WP:AIV

Hi. I have commented at AIV that perhaps the nature of the edits is too complex to be regarded as "obvious vandalism" and suggested it might be best brought up at WP:ANI - since it involves possible socking, ongoing discussions and article protection. Cheers. LessHeard vanU (talk) 10:16, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

I was more concerned that blocking the ip wasn't going to resolve anything - and if it formed part of a larger matter then perhaps it would be best viewed in that context (at a more appropriate "counter"). Cheers. LessHeard vanU (talk) 10:50, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
