Senior Lecturer in Online Journalism and Magazines at University of Central England in Birmingham (UK), teaching on the Journalism degree and the Masters in Television and Interactive Content, as well as leading the degree in Web and New Media.

Before becoming a lecturer edited magazines and managed news and magazines websites. Now writes the Online Journalism Blog. In January 2007 organised the Citizen Journalism 2007 conference. Has contributed to a number of books on the internet and is currently working on a book on online journalism.
