Talk:Brad Thorn

Thorn is a rugby league player first and foremost. It would be better to include the details of his union days inside the the rugby league infobox, not the other way around. Londo06 05:09, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
- It's not a rugby union infobox. It's called a rugby biographical infobox (not rubgy union or rugby league). It was originally created for both codes because so many players have played both, and is redundant to have two infoboxes. So rather then have an incredibly messy article with two infoboxes, why not have one? Seems silly to have it as it is now when there is an infobox that's tailor made to avoid this problem. - Shudda talk 05:57, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
Apology accepted. Sorry was unaware that there were article edits in there as well, thought it was an attempt to place an inferior infobox in the place of an easy to read one. Londo06 14:59, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
- So (six months later) is it agreed that we should run with the one combo union & league style info box ? -Sticks66 (talk) 13:18, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think we should, and would support such a move. He's switched codes more then once now, and having two infoboxes looks ugly. However last time I made those changes all my edits were reverted, including ones not related to the infobox. - Shudde talk 22:03, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- The league one appears to be the cleaner to read and I would amalgamate them into that one. That said however he has returned to union as he was getting too old for league and so he is a rugby player once again. I'd have the league version and update the stats for both codes. - I'm happy to do this but will use the combo box as it has been created for exactly this circumstance. I recently worked with it on Ken Kearney and found it very workable. In Thorn's case it will be a little more messy because he has switched codes three times now. I'll see how it looks.-Sticks66 (talk) 00:31, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Complicated a little by his RL rep career being played under both SuperLeague and ARL umbrellas, but this is now done - one info box with all details. -Sticks66 (talk) 13:08, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- Much better than having two infoboxes, much cleaner than having two infoboxes, and also an easier read than the rugger one alone. Alexsanderson83 (talk) 13:47, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
If this infobox includes Super League club and international matches, I don't see why it shouldn't also include tri-series matches. This has been overlooked and needs to be fixed.--Jeff79 (talk) 22:44, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
