Talk:Brackenwood
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I fixed the article up a bit -- overall it was just really poorly done. I'm not too familiar with Brackenwood though, anyone else up for some adding-on (As it's still so short)? Eeblefish 00:16, 6 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, in general there's not very much information on Brackenwood out there... besides what you can find at its official site, at Adam Phillips' site, or perhaps by scrounging around on the forums. I think this article was actually deleted once for being just one big copyvio, so we'd need to be careful of that ^^. Weien 00:58, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion?
Why? Brackenwood cartoons tend to be the highest rated on Newgrounds. It's likely that plenty of people look here to learn more about Brackenwood. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.10.14.212 (talk • contribs)

[edit] Characters
Well I began a very rough and incomplete list of characters. I was initially trying to write little descriptions for them but then I realized I wasn't doing a very good job...
Hopefully it'll grow a whole lot better in time. --Foot Dragoon 07:06, 5 June 2006 (UTC)
I just had to unload this somewhere and it's way to colloquial and uninformative for the article, so here it goes: "Bitey-- the Senor Cardgage of Satyrs"
[edit] Edits
I added a few things about the characters and deleted a few things that were incorrect. I also fixed somewhere between 40 and 50 spelling errors, including where in most of the paragraphs "Brackenwood" is spelt without a c. Also; the "Blue guy" IS the Auld Sage so I deleted that entry for characters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.189.57.15 (talk • contribs) 03:14, 24 July 2006
- The page also seems to be written as if transcribed from a fan page of Brackenwood. For example, the style of writing for each of the episode descriptions seems a bit too involved. It seems very personalised, which I don't think is what Wikipedia represents. -- Permafrost (talk) 06:01, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
- Where did a lot of this information even come from? It can't simply be from just the movies, but I don't see any kind of lore on the official website and since none of it has been sourced then it looks like someone tried to act smart. For example: Bitey growing up alone, how do we know that? Also, this 'fact' that Bitey can see far seems like an exaguration, we don't know that just because he happened to see him. Why not also put that Bitey has exceptional aim jsut becuase he usually hits thigns he throws at without having to look?
And whats all this with 'Bingbong'? We've only seen ONE episode dedicated to him yet someone had stated that he is 'The strongest being on the planet' and 'loves to help people' among other things which clearly have NEVER appeared in any episode. DrTheKay

- Okay I now revoke my above statements. I went ot the Biteycastle Forum and a member was kind enough to show me where the source is for lot of this information, I have no added it to the source list.(talk) 20:39, 28 March 2008 (UTC)DrTheKay

[edit] Fansite style
This is a fansite as it stands now (4/18/08). I don't even understand where some of this information is available, because a lot of it can't be derived from the animated shorts (i.e. "Auld Sage likes to talk to long-time friend Lemonee Wee"). Really, a lot of this stuff just doesn't belong on Wikipedia. Leopold Stotch (talk) 02:34, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
