Brazoswood High School is a secondary school located at 302 West Brazoswood in Clute, Texas. It handles grades nine through twelve and is part of the Brazosport Independent School District.

The school primarily serves residents of Clute, Lake Jackson and Richwood.

Brazoswood High School opened in 1969 with grades 9-11. The first class graduated 356 students in May 1971. The Alma Mater written especially for this school was not completed until just before graduation. When it was played at the ceremonies in May 1971, the graduating seniors were hearing it for the first time and therefore could not sing their alma mater at graduation.Steve Snell is the principal at Brazoswood high school.

In 2006, 22 students were named National Merit Scholars. In 2005, the average SAT score (old format) was 1054, compared to the national average of 1026. Currently, 19 advanced placement courses are offered to students.

Activities include Theatre, Band,Orchestra, Choir, Drill Team (Belles), AFJROTC(Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps), Cacophony (an online literary publication), NHS, Jazz Band, Spanish NHS, JSA, Cheerleading,Math and Science Team,PALS, Journalism, Habitat for Humanity and Student Council.

Brazoswood High School is a member of District 24-5A of Texas.

Brazoswood has a rich athletic history and has produced several championship teams and several individual honors.

Key Players: Mark Senterfitt, Chad Blessing, Justin Bowles Notable: Only Team in State History to Throw Back-to-Back No-Hitters in the State Tournament

  • 2000 State Softball Champions

Key Players: Nicole Neuerburg, Taryn Williams, Sherah Atkins Notable: Finished season 34-0 and Ranked No.1 in the Nation, During the State Tournament Nicole Neuerburg struck out 19 batters again Bryan. On the season Neuerburg was 33-0 with a 0.00 ERA, both State Records.
