The Braunschweig Lions are an American football team from Braunschweig, Germany.

The Braunschweig Lions (BSL) were founded in 1985. In 1994 they entered the 1. Bundesliga, the present day German Football League (GFL). After three years in the GFL, they won their first championship of the German Bowl in 1997. Since then, the Lions have been in every final of the German Bowl and have captured it six times (1997-1999, 2005-2007). After three consecutive titles, they lost a close game in 2003. (2003: 36:37 vs. Hamburg Blue Devils). They have a fierce rivalry with the Blue Devils, and they were avenged with a 31:28 victory in the German Bowl XXVII at the AWD-Arena in Hannover.

- The youngest players compete with the Red Cubs 94, which plays Flag Football
- An additional Flag Football team for those over 16 is the Lions Flag Team
- Also, there is the Lady Lions, a tackle football team for women * All divisions are a part of the 1. FFC Braunschweig
