Branksome Heath Middle School is a mixed 8-12 middle deemed primary school located in Parkstone in Poole, Dorset. The school was built in 1971 as a junior school although became a middle school a few years later. The main building is a typical 1970s design with 3 classrooms to each 'area' built around the main hall. In 1995 a new building was built housing a further 8 classrooms, a music room, an art room and a room used for ICT. This building also has a pair of changing rooms and showers and has access for wheel chair users. The school at one time served school meals although the kitchen is now used as a technology workshop and the school has a science lab that opens into the school garden for use of year 7 pupils. Attached to the school is a base for children with hearing impairments. These children are incorporated into mainstream classes. There are over 500 pupils and 50 staff.
The school takes children from the local area of Upper Parkstone and most children would have attended either neighbouring Sylvan First School or Heatherlands First School. Original site was in Croft Road, Parkstone, and called Kinson Heath School, built in the 1800s. Moved to Livingstone Road in 1971
