Brandon United F.C. is a football club based at the Welfare Ground in Brandon, near Durham, County Durham, England.

Originally formed as Sunday league team called Rostrons, they joined the Third Division of the Durham & District Sunday League in 1968/69. They became Brandon United in 1972 and by 1976/77 they had been First Division champions four times and Durham County FA. Sunday Cup winners one time in 1976. In 1977, they switched to Saturday football, joining the Northern Football Alliance where they played three successful seasons, winning the League Championship and League Cup twice.

Entering the FA Cup for the first time in 1979/80, they reached the First Round Proper, where they lost 3-0 to Bradford City at Spennymoor. They bettered this performance in 1988 when Doncaster Rovers needed two games at their Belle Vue ground to dispose of their non-league opposition.

After playing in the Northern Amateur League for one season, they joined the Wearside League in 1981/82 and won the Sunderland Shipowners Cup. After reaching two successive FA Vase quarter-finals, they were finally admitted to the Northern League's Second Division in June 1983 which they won at the first attempt.

In nine years as a Division One outfit, they managed to finish as league champions during the 2002/03 season. However, in 2005-06, they finished bottom of the Northern League Division One and were relegated to Division Two.
