Brandon JeRell Newton (born April 1, 1981 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) is an American football Offensive Lineman for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the National Football League. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Hofstra University by the Minnesota Vikings. Newton was a standout Offensive Tackle in high school at Boyd Anderson High School. Heavily recruited to play at Central Michigan University, University of South Florida, and other Division 1 universities, Newton chose to attend Hofstra University where he was a three year starter and letterman.
