Brandon Edward Medders is a baseball pitcher for the Arizona Diamondbacks franchise. He was born on January 26, 1980 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. He throws a 4-seam fastball, curveball, slider, and a cutter.
Medders debuted for the Diamondbacks in 2005, going 4-1 with a 1.78 ERA and 31 strikeouts. He was dominant in 2006, his first full year in the majors as he had an ERA of 3.64 in 60 relief appearances.
In 2007, however, Medders began to face inconsistency and was optioned to AAA on June 8. He had pitched to an ERA of 4.84, going 1-2 with a blown save.
Brandon was recalled Sept. 1, 2007 when the rosters expanded.
