Brandon Jackson (born October 2, 1985 in Horn Lake, Mississippi) is an American football running back for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League He was originally drafted by the Packers in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Nebraska.

Jackson was a two-time Class 5A state offensive player of the year at Horn Lake High School. He was considered a track star with a personal best of 10.6 seconds in 100-meter.

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.41 seconds at a campus workout, bettering his personal best of 4.55 at the scouting combine. Jackson bench pressed 225 pounds a total of 21 times at the combine. Brandon was a sociology major and made the Big 12 Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll in 2004. While he was born in Chicago; he moved to Mississippi while he was still in grade school.

Jackson scored his first NFL touchdown in Week 3, on September 23, 2007 against the San Diego Chargers. Jackson topped the 100 yard mark for the first time in his career on December 30, 2007. [1] On January 2, 2008 Jackson was voted NFL Rookie of the Week for games played December 29-30, 2007. Jackson ran the ball 20 times for 113 yards and made two receptions for 22 yards in the Packers' 34 - 13 win over the Detroit Lions. In the 11 games he played in, Jackson totaled 397 yards from scrimmage on 91 touches, for 4.36 yards per touch. He averaged nearly 36 yards per game. He did not fumble once all season. [2] Jackson is expected to be Ryan Grant's primary backup in 2008.
